The review of “iSpy”

“iSpy” is a single song from American rapper Kyle. It was released on December 2, 2016, by Indie-Pop and Atlantic Records. It features vocals from American rapper Lil Yachty. The song was produced by Ayo and Lege Kale.

“iSpy” debuted at number 80 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the chart dated January 14, 2017. It has so far peaked at number four on the chart, becoming Kyle’s first and Lil Yachty’s second top five single. And it is currently sitting in the number one spot on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart.

In December 2016, he struck gold. With no lofty expectations, KYLE released “iSpy” onto Soundcloud. The song’s first few seconds are riddled with a playful, mildly inspirational exchange between KYLE and Lil Yachty before upbeat keys and heavy kick drums take precedence. The song has garnered over 200 million streams, topped Billboard’s rap chart, and was certified platinum within just four months of its release. Not bad for a self-described “throwaway” song.

The music video for the latest hit collaboration came out on YouTube. It did take a few months for KYLE to come up with a music video and many would say it’s a little late, but I feel it’s still good to have a video for this killer song than not having one at all. On top of that, they have worked really hard on the video, making it somewhat unique. It gives the video more value and fan power.

The video for “iSpy” show us two young kids playing on the beach. These kids have the torso of kids but their heads are those of KYLE and Lil Yachty. As they sit on the beach, they see many girls passing them in bathing suits and hot bodies. Some of them are playing while others are simply jogging around.

I do believe that “iSpy” this cool music video helped it bring back for a second go at the charts. It’s a great song and I feel really excited about it got back to life, and with a super cool music video.
